Which dealer said it was 30,000 miles / 3 years for your haldex? Was that the Service desk person that said that after reading something from Skoda / VW? I would ask them again.

For my car and driving habits 25-30K Haldex service intervals would seem to be fine. I think that checking it once fairly early, then determining what, if any, more frequent service interval than 30K miles should be followed is the prudent thing to do.
